​Bringing Carolina sass to THE JEWEL TONES, Cheryse McLeod Lewis is a Greensboro, NC native who was raised on fabulous Motown music and hot Krispy Kreme doughnuts!
As the founder and executive producer of The Jewel Tones, Cheryse loves performing for Motown fans of all ages, from toddlers to grandparents. She is the original Alto/Jewel 3 of the group but now swings all of the vocal parts. Cheryse started The Jewel Tones in Seattle in 2019 and when she moved across the country to Orlando in 2024, she also launched an Orlando division of the group.

Professional performance highlights include solo/mainstage appearances with Seattle Opera, Spoleto Festival USA, Village Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, Greensboro Symphony and the North Carolina Symphony just to name a few.
​
RANDOM FUN FACT: Cheryse is also a professional opera singer who once performed on the 1st National Broadway Tour of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. Traveling the country on tour for 9 months gave Cheryse the opportunity to find the best cupcake (in her humble opinion) in the entire nation. Her favorite is still the Dance Party Cupcake from Cupcake Royale in Seattle, WA.

This all-female, Motown-inspired vocal trio performs all of the most popular Motown hits and always leaves audiences "dancin' in the street!"
